Roundball Classic

High School basketball will appear at Geneva College on Friday and Saturday.

Three boys games will be held Friday night at The Roundball Classic and they are slated for 6 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Two girls games will be held Saturday, tipping off at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Two more boys games will tip off Saturday. The first starts at 6 p.m. and the nightcap is slated for 8 p.m.

New Castle High boys basketball coach Ralph Blundo will direct the Class 4A/1A boys squad in the 6 p.m. game.

Local athletes that will compete in the all-star games include Caroline Gibson (Laurel), Isabella Roth (Ellwood City Lincoln), Brie Dean (Neshannock) and Bella Burrelli on the girls Class 3A/2A team; Payne Prowell (New Castle), Seth Pinkerton (Union), Donte Burnett (New Castle) and Drew Cox for the boys Class 4A/1A team; Jack McCormick (Neshannock) for the Class 3A/2A team; Niko Rylott (Neshannock), Joey Hervatine (Mohawk) and Chris Scott (Neshannock) will play for the boys East team; Broc Boariu (Ellwood City) will suit up for the boys West squad; Danny Hanssen (Wilmington) and Robert Pontius (Wilmington) will compete for the District 10 boys team.

Tickets will be sold at the door for $10 for an all-day admission.
