Laurel High basketball star Caroline Gibson is headed to Slippery Rock University.
Gibson is a three-time first-team all-star selection and a three-time first-team all-section selection.
As a senior, she scored 19.3 points per game, pulled down 5.2 rebounds, handed out 5.1 assists and came up with 4.7 steals. She was a Roundball Classic selection.
She holds school records of career points (1,214 points), season points (503), season free-throw percentage (82 percent), career assists (341), season assists (133), career steals (316), season steals (136), season game steals (13).
She was a part of two team records in 2019: Best record (20-6) and consecutive wins (14).
Laurel made back-to-back state playoff appearances and was a part of the first section title in school history in 2019.
