The Neshannock boys basketball team cruised into the playoffs with a 73-56 home win over Laurel on Monday.

Jake McCormick topped the Neshannock scorers with 16 points, Chris Scott and Niko Rylott added 12 each and Max McHale chipped in with 10.

Marcus Haswell led Laurel with 17 points and Garrett Linton added 12.

The Lancers, the third-place team out of Section 1-3A, move on at 17-5. The Spartans end their season at 6-16.

Riverside 67, Union 51

The Scotties, the fourth-place team out of Section 1-1A, played one final time  before the WPIAL playoffs begin, dropping the nonleague game at home.

Union goes into the postseason at 16-6 overall. The Panthers, who are out of the playoffs, ended at 11-11.

Vince Fuleno scored 15 points, all on 3-pointers, for Union. Seth Pinkerton added 10 markers. Nick Pasquarello had 10 rebounds.

Brian MacMurdo paced Riverside with 26 markers.
