Thanks to those who reeled in fish dinners

Editor, The News:

This may be a bit late but the message comes from the heart.

We would like to thank all the wonderful people that ventured out to the Mahoning Township Fire Department fish dinners. The volunteers worked earnestly each and every Thursday and Friday preparing those delicious Dinners during Lent that everyone enjoyed.

Visitors came from as far as Pittsburgh and all of our surrounding areas to enjoy these delicious meals. It must have been very tasty because we broke an attendance record this year. If you were someone who couldn’t make it to sit down with us and visit take outs were available.

There is talk of having a spaghetti dinner, very soon, and it would be nice if you brought a friend, neighbor or relative to join us for another scrumptious meal. Another meal, another dollar and some new fire equipment will be bought for our fire department with the proceeds.

Watch for signs, New Castle News and bargain bulletin for a date and time for the spaghetti dinner.

Thank you, again, so much we appreciate your thoughtfulness.

See you soon.
