Positive article appreciated

Editor, The News: I am grateful for the story on the front page about the eight young friends who wrote and performed a play for their families. The best part of this story was that these kids donated the money to other young people in need. I applaud their efforts and encourage them to keep up the great work. They are building a work ethic and sense of compassion that will serve them well as they grow into adults. No matter what, it is always right to care about others and childhood is the time for some active learning. Congratulations for making us proud and giving us something to celebrate. I am appreciative of The News for highlighting this happy story on the first page. Let’s see some more stories about kids giving their time and energy to helping others.
