Editor, The News:
This is in regard to Shenango Township residents.
I see this is no longer part of the United States of America. We have no freedom of choice.
From the beginning, I have never had or used Allied Services. We do and have always done our own recycling.
Now the township says, “We will participate or be fined not less than $100 or not more than $1,000 plus cost of prosecution and/or imprisonment in Lawrence County jail for a period of not more than 30 days. Each day of violation is considered a separate offense.”
I have lived in Shenango Township for 42 years and paid taxes and voted for these people who are shafting us now. I feel sorrow for the ones who have fought and died for our freedom.
The people need to wake up. Our freedom is being taken from us. I have lived for three-quarters of a century and it sickens me what this country has come to be, a land of sheep.
The old know. The young have been brainwashed. They don’t know the people we once were.
Day by day, year by year, we need to wake up. This is no longer America, the land of the free.
