Editor, The News: For many years, I remember news reports of famous stage, political and sports people arrested for drunk driving. I cannot recall at any time what words were said by these folks to the police. Recently, movie actor Mel Gibson was stopped and, rightly so, arrested for drunk driving. Immediately, his ranting and raucous remarks made national news. I wonder if news reporters were on hand, or police were obliged to notify the news media. The horrible war in the Middle East was quickly put on the back burner during this time. Boy, talk about the witch hunt in good old Salem. Anthony Elisco New Castle
