An East Side man has been arrested for allegedly throwing a steak knife at a woman during a domestic dispute.

Waddy Moses, 52, who has addresses listed at 416 Epworth St. and 1112 Cunningham Ave., was charged Monday with aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment in connection with the incident.

A 36-year-old woman told police she had gotten into an argument with Moses about a burglary that had occurred, and he threw a steak knife at her that just missed her head and lodged in the wall.

Upon arresting Moses, police learned he was wanted on a probation violation from the U.S. Probation Department. However, the agency did not issue a detainer for him.

He was arraigned by District Judge Melissa Amodie, who set his bond at $10,000. He is in the Lawrence County jail.

Police also have arrested Kristen N. Scully, 40, of 2032 Martha St., for criminal trespass and drug possession.

Police said she was seen entering Moses’ apartment around 5:10 p.m. March 19. Scully told police she was a friend of Moses and had permission to stay in his apartment.

After officers arrested Moses, he told them that Scully was not allowed in his apartment and he wanted her to be prosecuted. She was arrested and in her pants pocket, police found a contact lens container with heroin wrapped in foil.

She was released on a nonmonetary bond, pending a preliminary hearing.
