A Youngstown man has been arrested for allegedly robbing a woman of her cellphone at her Lincoln Projects apartment.

The woman told police she and Glenn M. Woods, 23, were at her apartment on Wick Avenue around 4 p.m. Wednesday when he took her phone out of her hand and ran out the back door. She told police the two of them are acquaintances.

She said she had chased him and, when she reached for the phone, Woods punched her in the face and kept walking.

She said she followed him to West Lincoln Avenue and he punched her again multiple times, causing a bloody nose.

Police took Woods into custody and charged him with robbery, simple assault, theft, receiving stolen property and harassment.

He was arraigned by District Judge Jerry G. Cartwright, who set his bond at $1,000.
