PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Mayor Bob O'Connor had a buildup of fluid drained from his brain Sunday afternoon, officials said. The 61-year-old mayor was in stable condition after undergoing the 30-minute surgical procedure, his spokesman said. Doctors at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center are performing tests to determine the cause of the fluid buildup, officials said. The mayor, who has primary central nervous system lymphoma, has been hospitalized since July 10. Doctors have said that O'Connor lost so much strength during his treatment that he will require intense therapy to be able to walk without help. O'Connor has small tumors on his brain.
