New Castle City Council expects to start rebuilding its website.

Aaron Elliott met on Tuesday with council at its workshop session and offered to create a new website for the city — at no cost.

"It's my way of giving back to the city," said Elliott, owner/operator of Forward Trends LLC, a web development/web hosting and consulting business. He said he has been in the business for 15 years.

"When do you want to start?" asked council president Bill Panella.

Council is expected to vote to accept Elliott's offer on Thursday.

Elliott said he has clients in the Pittsburgh/Cranberry area and has built and maintains sites for several local businesses, school districts and municipalities, including Visit Lawrence County, Lawrence County Community Action Partnership, Lawrence County Learning Center, Lawrence County Drug and Alcohol, Lawrence County Conservation District, the Neshannock Township School District, New Wilmington Borough and Shenango Township.

He proposes planning, designing, developing and maintaining a site for the city said the city's new site would be secure and accessible from mobile phones. Elliott adds that he is also a graphic designer, photographer and artist.

Elliott said he has begun initial research for the project.

"And I already know the town," he said.
