Union Township police want information about a drive-by shooting that left a house riddled with 12 bullet holes Sunday.

Poilce said an unidentified vehicle drove past a house in the 1900 block of West Washington Street and someone in the car fired 12 shots from an automatic weapon at the east side of the house.

No one was home at the time. The incident was reported around 9:30 p.m.

The exterior and interior of the home were damaged, and shells were retrieved as evidence.

"Nobody was hurt, thank God," police Chief Joseph Lombardo said, adding that the police have no suspects.

Gunfire was reported on New Castle's West Side earlier that evening when a man was shot in the foot, but Lombardo said he does not know if the two incidents were related. The home that was shot was about a block outside of the city limits.

Anyone who has information about the shooting is asked to contact the township police at (724) 656-9300.
