NEW CASTLE

•Burglary. A PlayStation set, game controls, 80 PlayStation games and 60 Xbox games were stolen from a home in the 1500 block of Belmont Avenue. The theft was reported around 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

•Burglary. Pipe was stolen from the basement of a house in the 600 block of Madison Avenue about 11 a.m. May 28.

•Theft. A maroon 1997 Chrysler Town and Country minivan was stolen from a lot in the 300 block of Shaw Street. The theft occurred between 11:30 p.m. Friday and 11:40 a.m. Saturday.

STATE

•Criminal mischief. Police said someone tampered with the swimming pool filter at Twilight Mobile Home Park home before 11 p.m. Sunday.

•DUI. Police said William Oscar Wilson, 50, of 540 Vangorder Mill Road, Ellwood City, was observed committing traffic violations on Vangorder Mill Road about 5:45 p.m. May 10. Police placed Wilson in custody for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. A summons will be issued.

•Theft. Several pieces of jewelry were taken from a house on Continental Lane between Dec. 20 and Friday.

•Hit-and-run. Police said Timothy Andrew Zurrica, 17, was southbound on River Road near Tony Dytko Road in Wayne Township at 11:20 p.m. May 19 when he apparently lost control of his car because of speed and went onto the west berm. As he attempted to regain control, police said, another vehicle struck his car’s left rear corner. He told police that caused him to hit a dirt pile, adding the other vehicle left the road, traveled through an overgrown area and left.

•Criminal mischief. Police said four people Super Glued six door locks at Laurel High School and put padlocks on 19 other doors before 11:40 p.m. Sunday.

•Theft from vehicle. Someone broke the rear window of a vehicle parked at McConnell’s Mill State Park before 3:30 p.m. Sunday and took a purse from a vehicle.
