State police have identified the driver killed in an accident Saturday in North Beaver Township.

Thomas F. Hughes, 78 of Pittsburgh, died as a result of injuries in the crash that occurred at 11:13 a.m. on I-376 at the Mt. Jackson exit.

According to state police, the 2003 Ford Hughes was driving was stopped in the right lane of the highway when it was struck in the rear by a tractor-trailer rig operated by Cal L. Dittman, 26, of Fenelton.
