Neshannock police responded to a bomb threat at a township business Thursday afternoon.

Police said the threat had been phoned in to Tibor Jewelers at 1707 Wilmington Road at 1:57 p.m. The caller said there was a bomb in the building.

Authorities evacuated the Neshannock Plaza Center where the jewelry store is located. Assistance was provided by a New Castle police officer and bomb-sniffing dog.

No explosive device was found.

Neshannock police also received assistance at the scene from the Neshannock Township Volunteer Fire Department and Noga Ambulance personnel.

An investigation into the incident is continuing, and anyone with information is being asked to contact Neshannock officers at (724) 656-9300.
