Gas prices are down another penny in the city, while the region prices are back up nine cents this week after falling by the same amount last week, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report.
In the city, the average price is now to $3.27. The region prices are at $3.32 a gallon.
Following the Labor Day weekend and the remnants of Hurricane Ida, the national gas price average has stabilized at $3.18, which is three cents more expensive on the week. Today’s national average is the same as last month, but 96 cents more than a year ago.
The storm took about 13 percent of U.S. refinery capacity offline and while there are no firm re-start dates, refineries are expected to be back online this month.
