A New Castle resident was charged Tuesday in connection with a series of thefts at a New Wilmington contracting firm. Borough police claim that Joseph Pagley Jr., 42, of 643 S. Ray St., was responsible for two thefts that took place May 12 and June 25 at Jeemco Inc. Police said Pagley, a former employee, reportedly took small amounts of cash. Pagley was charged with two counts of burglary and theft. In addition, police said Pagley is being investigated in a case involving five thefts that occurred between February and July. On Sunday, police said, someone broke into the building and stole a small amount of cash. On Tuesday, a truck was stolen and later found in the 600 block of East Washington Street.
