Ellwood City officials are reminding residents the borough has a budget payment plan in place for utility accounts.

Those interested in a payment plan must submit an application between the third Monday in March and the third Friday in April.

The maximum budget period will be 12 months. Anyone who fails to pay the budgeted amount in full, three or more times within that period, will be ineligible for future budget plans.

A renter who wants to apply for a budget plan also must provide written consent from his or her landlord.

For 2008, applications must be retired by 3 p.m. April 18.

More information is available by contacting the borough office at (724) 758-7777.
