•Harassment. Police said Dennis McElwain of 1005 Nye Road was arguing with a North Tower Road, Perry Township, resident at the 6 p.m. Tuesday and struck him. Police filed a charge of harassment against McElwain at the officer of District Judge Jerry G. Cartwright.

•Burlary. Someone kicked open a side door at the home of Mount Jackson Road, North Beaver Township, resident at 9:55 a.m. yesterday, then fled when an alarm sounded.

BUTLER

•Accident. Katherine E. Flynn, 18, of New Wilmington was traveling west on Route 108 near Simon Lane, Slippery Rock Township, Butler County, at 8:35 a.m. Monday. She told police she was traveling over a crest of a hill and did not see a line of traffic stopped behind a school bus because of sun glare. Flynn’s 2007 Hyundai Accent impacted the rear of a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado driven by Kristina K. McCullough, 46, of Slippery Rock. McCullough sustained minor injury and was transported by Slippery Rock EMS to Grove City Hospital. Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Police cited Flynn for following too closely. Slippery Rock Fire and Rescue also assisted at the scene.

•DUI. Police said Jared L. Campbell, 26, of Portersville, failed to control his 1998 Dodge Stratus while driving north on Interstate 79 at 1:47 p.m. Tuesday in Muddy Creek Township. Campbell, who was wearing his seat belt, traveled off the highway and struck an embankment in the median, causing tire damage. Police arrested Campbell for allegedly driving under the influence of a controlled substance. His vehicle was removed from the scene by Schaefer’s Towing.
