•Burglary. Numerous items were removed Thursday from a residence on Brown Home Road, Scott Township.
•Theft. A 2003 Chevrolet Impala owned by Antoinette Garland of New Castle and $600 were taken between 2:30 and 4:45 a.m. Friday.
•Theft. Various scrap and lawn mower parts were removed from the property of Lloyd Clevenger in North Beaver Township, just south of State Route 317.
•Hit and run. Michael Carter of Wilmington Avenue reported that his vehicle was struck on the driver’s side door. Paint on the victim’s vehicle indicates that the suspect vehicle is white in color. The incident took place between noon and 4:30 p.m. Thursday along Cass Street.
•Hit and run. A 2000 Pontiac Sunfire sedan owned by Karen S. Short of New Castle was struck between 5 p.m. and 7:50 p.m. Friday in the parking lot of Kerr’s mobile home park at 1801 New Butler Road.
•Accident. Two unnoccupied vehicles in the parking lot of McDonald’s on Ellwood Road were involved in a crash Oct. 24 when the parking brake on a Nissan truck owned by Thomas Berardi of Willowhurst Circle gave way, causing it to crash into a Toyota RAV4 owned by Marcia Lane of Moravia Street. The driver’s side door of the Toyota was unable to be opened.
•Accident. Douglas Olcott of Summerlin Drive told police that a deer ran onto the road at 7:40 p.m. Wednesday and struck the driver’s side front end of his vehicle, and the deer’s head also hit his door. Damage to the vehicle included the driver’s side door, the driver’s side front fender, the driver’s side headlight, the driver’s side hood, the driver’s side bumper and the driver’s side fog light.
•Crash. A vehicle driven by Mary Ellen Russo of Station Road struck a deer at 11:17 p.m. Thursday on Ellwood Road. The vehicle sustained heavy front end damage. The power steering fluid had leaked from the vehicle and the power steering was out of service. No injuries were reported.
•Accident. A vehicle driven by Brendan E. Bone of Youngstown ran off the bypass and into a ditch at 4:02 a.m. Saturday. Bone told police he fell asleep at the wheel. Bone called a tow truck. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was driven from the scene.
•Theft of services. The male driver of a yellow Ford Mustang drove off around 5 p.m. Friday without paying for $14.13 worth of gasoline at the Kwik Fill station on New Butler Road. An employee of Kwik Fill stated a man gave him $15 for gas and went out to the pump. He put $29.13 worth of gas in his tank and drove west on New Butler Road.
