•Accident. Wayne Township. Police said Michael L. Simon, 27, of New Castle, westbound on Route 488 at 8:15 a.m. Thursday, lost control of his vehicle and sideswiped the driver’s side of a PennDOT snow plow, driven by Andrew J. McCombs, 58, of New Castle, which was stopped on the westbound shoulder of the road. No injuries were reported.

•Burglary. Jewelry, digital cameras and credit cards were reported taken from a house in the 3000 block of Mountville Road in Perry Township, between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Thursday.

•Burglary. North Beaver Township. Police said several irreplaceable antique glass items were broken when a glass cabinet shelf was broken during a burglary that occurred between Jan. 9 and Feb. 16 in the 3100 block of Enon Road. Police said drawers and cabinets were searched but no items have been reported missing.

•Accident. Little Beaver Township. Police said Pamela D. Reed, 49, of Enon Valley, westbound on Beaver Dam Road at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 16, lost control of her car, swerved across the eastbound lane and off the road. The car went over an embankment, struck a fence and rolled over, coming to rest on its roof. No injuries were reported.

•Accident. Police said a vehicle driven by Shaina Beth Lowrie, 18, of New Castle, was found stuck in a yard at the intersection of West Washington Street and Miller Road at 11:45 p.m. Sunday. Officers said Lowrie was not injured but found to be intoxicated and argumentative when they arrived. She was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol.

•Accident. Slippery Rock Township. Police said Jason A. Henderson, 38, of Hermitage, lost control of his pickup truck after hitting an icy patch while southbound on Route 19 at 11 a.m. Thursday. Police said the truck crossed the highway and struck the side of a vehicle driven by Thomas P. Morgan Jr., 57, of Portersville, northbound on Route 19. Police said the impact forced Morgan’s car into a ditch. Neither driver reported injury. Diane L. Morgan, 53, of Portersville, a passenger in Morgan’s car, was treated at Butler Hospital then released.

•Accident. Slippery Rock Township. Police said a vehicle driven by John R. Moore, 84, of Ellwood City, stopped at a traffic sign in the southbound lane of Fox Road at 4 p.m. Sunday, then proceeded into the intersection with Route 422. Patti J. Thompson, 49, of New Castle, westbound on Route 422, told police she swerved to avoid Moore’s vehicle but the two vehicles collided. Thompson was treated at Grove City Medical Center then released. Moore reported no injuries.


•Accident. Daniel J. Hannon III, 58, of 1261 Sunset Valley Road told police he was eastbound on Mitchell Road about 1:30 a.m. Sunday when he lost control of his vehicle, striking a mailbox and large pine trees. Police said no injuries were reported but Hannon’s car had to be towed.

•Burglary. Cash, checkbooks and other items were reported taken from a Latavo Drive home before 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

•Accident. Trista Lynn Warso of 9 Lindsey Lane told police she was northbound on Graceland Road at 2:40 a.m. Friday when she lost control of her car while negotiating a curve in the road, The car slid off the road striking a drainage ditch and causing it to flip onto its roof in the 2600 block of Graceland Road. No injuries were reported, but the car was towed.
