A Butler man is being held in the Lawrence County jail after being charged with the theft of a television.

Robert Eugene Grim, 53 was charged by state police after he allegedly took a 37-inch television from the Wal-Mart in Union Township Sunday.

Police said the television was recovered at Grim’s home.

He was charged with felony retail theft and lodged in the jail in lieu of a $5,000 bond.

Police said Grim had an outstanding arrest warrant for theft by deception against him and bond in that case was set at $10,000.
