A South New Castle man have inadvertently led New Castle police to find him.

A cell phone, found outside the back door of a victim in the 1300 block of Wilmington Avenue identified the phone’s owner as Brandon Curtis Bame, 29, of 1925 Morris St.

Police said they found Bame’s name and picture in the phone’s profile file. The victim identified Bame as the intruder who kicked in her back door and took her wallet from the kitchen table.

He has not yet been arrested.

Police said they will charge Bame with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief. A criminal complaint was filed at the office of District Judge Melissa Amodie.
