According to the forecast, locally heavy snow is possible on Halloween.

With temperatures dropping, forecasters are predicting a Halloween snowstorm for the Appalachians and areas around the Great Lakes.

The cold front could move through the northern United States as early as Thursday evening, bringing possible snow on Friday and Saturday.
