Thomas W. Sbarra, 61, of Lester Drive, Chippewa Township, died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, March 19, 2009.

Born Aug. 11, 1947, in Ellwood City, he was a son of Anthony and Angeline Quintana Sbarro. His father preceded him in death. His mother survives in Chippewa Township.

He was employed as a salesman by multiple auto dealerships in the area.

An Army veteran, he served in the Vietnam War.

He attended Mohawk High School.

Mr. Sbarra was Catholic.

In addition to his wife, survivors include his siblings and their spouses, Carmella Norge of West Pittsburg, Linda and George Thomas of Chippewa Township, Anthony J. and Joan Sbarra of Wampum, Ellen and Frank Bekoski of Bessemer and Christina Allen of Tucson, Ariz.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father on April 7, 2005; two nephews, Jerold H. Mount and Joseph Milone; and a great-nephew, Stephen J. Lysiak.

Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main St., Wampum. A blessing service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. James Downs of Christ the King Parish will officiate.

Burial will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
