Robert N. Pratt, 72, of 110 Golf Ave., Ellport, passed away at the Jameson Health Care Center in New Castle at 9:45 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23, 2009.
He was born in Ellwood City on Oct. 2, 1937, to the late Carmen J. and Rose Marie DeVite Pratt.
He had retired after 32 years of service at BNZ Materials, Zelienople.
A veteran of the Air Force, Mr. Pratt served from 1954 through 1958 in Japan.
He enjoyed travel, golf, hunting and gardening.
He was a Catholic by faith and worked on the nutroll crew at St. Agatha Church.
He is survived by a sister and her husband, Colleen and Ray Yaro of Ellwood City; his longtime friend and caregiver, Renee Tabish of New Castle; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Ann Valvano Friello and infant Lena Teresa Pratt.
Services were private and interment was in Holy Redeemer Cemetery. The family would like to thank the LPNs, RNs, aides and administration of the Jameson Care Center.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Ave., Ellwood City.
The family suggests memorial contributions can be made in Mr. Pratt’s name to the Ellwood City Area Public Library.
