Michael Barragan, 58, of Henderson, Nev., formerly of New Castle passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 19, 2009, in St. Rose Sienna Hospital of Las Vegas.

He was born June 11, 1950, in El Paso, Texas.

He was a proud and devoted father and grandfather, and very dedicated to his family.

Mr. Barragan worked for the Caesar’s Palace and Riviera showrooms in Las Vegas and was a private security guard for a family jewelry sore. He also worked for a corporate bakery in Pennsylvania.

He was preceded in death by his father, John A. Barragan.

He is survived by his significant other of 13 years, Nancy Lepak of Henderson; his mother, Cecilia Barragan of Las Vegas; four children, Michael Barragan of New Hampshire, Cassandra Barragan and her fiance, Ryan Gidaro of New Castle, and Adrianna and Joseph Barragan of New Castle; a granddaughter, his “little Valentine,” Alexandra of New Castle; two stepdaughters, DeAnna and Jody of Henderson; a sister, Cecilia Campagna of Henderson; two brothers, John “Sonny” and Robert Barrragan, both of Las Vegas; and his former wife, Sandra Ratkovich DelPrincipe.

A service was held Wednesday at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Henderson.
