Matthew L. Silvester, 48, of Beaver Falls died the night of March 25, 2008, in Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Born May 5, 1959, in Ellwood City, he was a son of Remo and Marilee Kimmel Silvester. His father died in 1993. His mother survives.

He was married to the former Kathryn Black. She survives.

Mr. Silvester worked at K.D. Machine in New Castle as a machinist.

He was a 1978 graduate of Riverside High School and took the machine operator’s course at what is now the Lawrence County Career and Technical Center.

Mr. Silvester enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was a member of Concord United Methodist Church in North Sewickley Township.

In addition to his wife and mother, survivors include two daughters, Holly M. Silvester of Erie and Courtney J. Silvester of Canonsburg; two brothers, Rick Silvester and Scott Silvester, both of New Castle; and three sisters, Robin Plavesky of New Brighton, and Julie Nocera and Valli Brandenburg, both of Ellwood City.

There is no visitation.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. tomorrow at the Turner Funeral Home, 500 Sixth St., Ellwood City. The Rev. John P. Borter will officiate.
