Marjorie E. Boalick, 86, of 2750 Plank Road died the night of April 6, 2009, in Jameson Hospital.

Born Dec. 27, 1922, in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late William V. and Helen Hanna Brooks.

She married James Boalick on Jan. 20, 1949. He survives.

Mrs. Boalick did clerical work in the accounting and production departments of Liberty Mutual.

She was a 1941 graduate of New Castle High School.

Mrs. Boalick was a member of the American Business Women’s Association and Challenges.

She enjoyed fishing and playing cards.

Mrs. Boalick was a member of Second Presbyterian Church and was involved in the youth program.

In addition to her husband, survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Barbara Kelliher of Downers Grove, Ill., and Patty and George Gregg, and Nancy and Terry Caldwell, all of New Castle; a son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Debbi Boalick of Columbus, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Helen Martin of Naperville, Ill., Jeri Lynn Genkinger of Rochester, N.H., Jim Caldwell of Franklin, Pa., Jerry Caldwell and Justine Caldwell, both of New Castle, Aaron Boalick of Ann Arbor, Mich., Allison Boalick of Pittsburgh, Erika Boalick of Columbus, and Mary Beth Gregg of Cincinnati; and two great-grandchildren, Mitchell Genkinger and Nicholas Genkinger, both of Rochester.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Verna “Tuck” Womer and Donna Spiker.

Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, 2429 Wilmington Road.

A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Rex Wasser will officiate.

Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
