New Castle native John E. “Jack” Tindall, 89, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008, in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.

Jack retired from the Air Force after 33 years of service.

He was preceded in death by wives, Dorothy Tindall and Marian Thompson Tindall; and a daughter, Dorothy Jean Pimputkar.

Jack is survived by a son, John Tindall; daughters and son-in-law, Sally and Tom Walston, Peggy Henry and Joan Essinger; son-in-law, Sudheer Pimputkar; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother; three sisters; and dear friends.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, where the funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 E. Broad St., Columbus, with full military honors.
