Decimo D. Pollio, 75, of South First Street, Mahoningtown, died the afternoon of Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008, in Jameson Hospital.

Born May 5, 1933, in New Castle, he was a son of the late Alessandor and Antoinetta Napolitano Pollio.

He was a self-employed parking lot attendant at First Commonwealth Bank, formerly Peoples Bank, for many years in downtown New Castle.

Mr. Pollio was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church.

He was a lifelong resident of Mahoningtown. He enjoyed reading and spending time with the children of his niece, Jessie.

Survivors include a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Joseph Pollio, Michael Pollio, Samuel Pollio, Paul Pollio, Frank Pollio and Alessandro Pollio; and three sisters, Mary Trott, Justine Norris and Beatrice Pollio.

There are no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Church. The Rev. Kenneth Keene, pastor, will officiate.

Funeral arrangements are by the William F. and Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave.
