Caroline Benson, 82, of Panama City, Fla. passed away Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009.

She was born Oct. 29, 1926, in McClellandtown, Pa., to John and Margurite Dugan.

She spent most of her life in Bessemer and moved to Panama City in 2001.

Mrs. Benson volunteered in the Woman’s Guild and was an active member of Bessemer Presbyterian Church.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Donald Eugene Benson; and her son, Donald Eugene Benson, Jr.

She is survived by her two daughters, Emma Jean Randles and Bobbi Lou Huebner; daughter-in-law, Barbara Benson; eight grandchildren, Michael Benson, David Benson, James Benson, Sibyl Dando, Yvonne Farrington, Theodore Randles, Connie Randles and Jeremiah Huebner; great-grandchild, Maxwell Benson; and two brothers, George Dugan and John Dugan.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the chapel of the Wilson Funeral Home, 214 Airport Road, Panama City, with the Rev. Cory Colravy officiating.

Burial will follow in Lynn Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. tomorrow, prior to the service.
