Wilmington psychologist resigns

NEW CASTLE — The Wilmington school district is looking for a new psychologist.

Barringer is replacing middle school science teacher Jennifer Horodyski, who resigned the advisory position. She will be paid $640 for serving as Science Olympiad adviser from Sept. 3 to Dec. 6.

Also at the meeting, the board:

•Added Dawn Marie Lunnen of New Wilmington, Amanda Sipe of Pulaski and Tony Cimoric of Mercer to the support staff substitute list.

•Granted cafeteria worker Sarah McBride an unpaid three-month leave of absence, beginning Nov. 25.

Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 fell from the sky in Donetsk, Ukraine, on Thursday, killing all 298 people aboard. Many are speculating that Russian rebels (supported by Vladimir Putin) are responsible for downing the aircraft. What do you think?

What is up with these Malaysian Airlines planes? I know one airline I won't be flying any time soon...
