Wilmington OKs pay increases

NEW CASTLE — Wilmington school district’s principals and other professional staff will receive wage increases next year.

Despite a struggle to cut the budget, the school board Monday night adopted a compensation plan for the four principals, the special education supervisor and the school psychologist, which provides pay hikes of $2,300 each.

Superintendent Dr. C. Joyce Nicksick pointed out the wages for those positions were frozen last year.

She noted they previously had been paid $800 for professional dues, and those were eliminated.

The individuals in those positions and their new salaries will be:

•George Endrizzi, elementary principal, kindergarten to sixth grades, $91,132

•Kenneth Jewell, elementary principal, kindergarten to sixth grades, $89,250

•Benjamin Fennick, high school principal, grades seven to 12, $103,160

•Robert Kwiat, high school principal, grades seven to 12, $91,100

•Mary Anne Grubic, special education supervisor, $90,660

•Cynthia Wright, psychologist, $63,120.
