Brittany Renee Lasky and Jonathan Paul Hedland

NEW CASTLE — Brittany Renee Lasky and Jonathan Paul Hedland were married at 3:30 p.m. May 24, 2014, at St. Vitus Parish by the Rev. Frank D. Almade.

Parents of the bride are Philip and Deborah Lasky of New Castle.

Parents of the groom are Russel and Brenda Hedland of New Castle.

The bride wore a fitted A-line ivory gown of soft organza and satin with a fitted bodice featuring embroidery and crystals.

Her hand bouquet contained ivory and white lilies, roses and Gerbera daisies.

Vocalist was Katie Mazzei, who was accompanied by Sandra DeCarbo.

Maids of honor were Kristin Lasky, the bride’s sister, of New Castle and Chelsea Lasky, the bride’s sister, of New Castle.

Bridesmaids were Corri Payton of Richmond Hill, Ga., Michelle Johnston of New Castle, Alia Davis of New Castle, Rochelle Downing of New Castle and Aylssa Schlumpf of Pittsburgh.

Flower girl was Elizabeth Hughes, the groom’s niece, of Youngstown.

Ring bearer was Johnny Hughes, the groom’s godson and nephew, of Youngstown.

Serving as best man was Russell Hedland III, the groom’s brother, of New Castle.

Groomsmen were Charles Hedland, the groom’s brother, of New Castle, Joseph Hedland, the groom’s brother, of New Castle, Brian Bable of North Carolina, Mathew DeSalvo of New Castle and Thomas Mills of New Castle.

The reception was held at St. Mary Parish Center.

The bride is a graduate of Union High School and Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a veterinarian at Banfield Pet Clinic in Beaver.

Her husband graduated from Union High School. He is employed by General Motors in Lordstown.

The newlyweds make their home in New Castle.
