NEW CASTLE —
Sara Lynn Reis and Jeffrey Lyle MacDonald Jr. were married at 11:30 a.m. June 1, 2013, in Wallace Memorial Chapel at Westminster College. The Rev. Michael Wells officiated.
Parents of the bride are Ralph Reis and Cathy Reis of New Castle and Jeff and Sally Ruby of Pulaski.
The groom is a son of Jeff and Karen MacDonald of Ellwood City.
The bride wore a white lace Casablanca gown with a fingertip scalloped veil.
Her bouquet contained a mix of coral, pink and yellow daisies on top of a white lace prayer book that the bride’s mother used on her wedding day.
The ceremony was highlighted by the congregational hymn “For the Beauty of the Earth” and the pouring of unity sand. The couple’s vows were taken from Ruth 1:16-17.
The maid of honor was Sarah Kehr of McKeesport.
Bridesmaids were Rachael Hayden of Pittsburgh, Jessie Foertsch of Butler, Kelsey Weightman of Waynesburg, Mallory Ference of Lower Burrell and Colleen Byler, cousin of the bride, of Shenango Township.
Makenzie Byler and Addison Byler, the bride’s cousins, of Shenango Township were the flower girls.
Serving as best man was Zack Wallover of McKees Rocks.
The ushers were Brian Chinchilla of Gibsonia, Patrick Stretavski of Bairdford, Pa., David Merrick of Diamond, Ohio, Jon Maeilli of Pittsburgh and Kenny Byler, cousin of the bride, of Shenango Township.
Katheryn Davison Miller provided the music.
A reception took place at the Alpine Room at SNPJ.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
The bride is a graduate of Union High School and Westminster College. She is an English teacher at Arcadia High School.
The groom graduated from Lincoln High School and Westminster College. He is a history teacher at Arcadia High School.
The newlyweds make their home in Onancock, Va.
