Bobbi Jo Harris and former New Castle resident Staff Sgt. Scott Richard Jones were married Nov. 13, 2009, in Jacksonville, N.C.
The noon ceremony was officiated by Judge Frederick Mitchel.
Parents of the bride are Ronald and Victoria Harris of Sneads Ferry, N.C. The groom is a son of Chuck and Anita Jones of 2104 E. Washington St.
Maid of honor was Christina Alley of Jacksonville.
Best man was David Emerson of Jacksonville.
The couple, who make their home in Jacksonville, spent their honeymoon over the New Year’s holiday in Las Vegas.
A family reception was held in January prior to the groom’s deployment.
He is a graduate of the Lawrence County Career and Technical Center and is serving his 11th year in the Marine Corps stationed out of Camp Lejeune, N.C. He is aboard the USS Mesa-Verde.
His wife graduated from Dixon High School in Sneads Ferry. She earned her degree from Coastal Carolina Community College in Jacksonville and works in patient care tech at Onslow County Hospital’s emergency room, Jacksonville.
