Leah Rae Silvonek and Michael Joseph Allebach

NEW CASTLE — Leah Rae Silvonek and Michael Joseph Allebach were married Aug. 24, 2013, at Asbury United Methodist Church, Allentown, Pa. The Rev. Eric Yeakel and the Rev. Naos McCool of Duquesne University officiated. He was the groom’s college adviser at Duquesne.

Parents of the bride are Michael and Sandra Silvonek of Orefield, Pa.

Parents of the groom are Rick and Debi Allebach of New Castle.

The bride wore a gown of Victorian lace with flowers and Swavorski crystals along the waist with a cathedral train.

Her bouquet contained antique white and peach roses laced with cream ribbon.

Maid of honor was Melissa Bates of Allentown.

Bridesmaids were Dr. Anuradha Silvonek, the bride’s sister-in-law, of Wake Forest, N.C., Jennifer Allebach, the groom’s sister, of Allison Park, Janice Bilger of Allentown Heather Levine of Washington, D.C. and Megan Geier of Pittsburgh.

Junior bridesmaid was Izzabelle Karopvich, the bride’s cousin, of Rochester, N.Y.

Flower girl was Sophie Karpovich, the bride’s cousin, of Rochester.

Ring bearer was Joseph DeCesare, the groom’s cousin, of New Castle.

Serving as best man was Dr. Steven Merchant of Arizona.

Groomsmen were James Baron of Pittsburgh, Dr. Steven Silvonek, the bride’s brother, of Wake Forest, Jeff Edmonston of Allentown, Jonathan Bordone of Pittsburgh and Andrew Thomas of Kutztown.

Junior groomsman was Scott Karpovich, the bride’s cousin, of Rochester.

Vocalist was Dr. Steven Silvonek, the bride’s brother, who sang “You Raise Me Up.”

The reception was held at Brookside Country Club in Macungie, Pa.

The couple spent their honeymoon at Jamaica’s Montego Bay Sandals Resort.

The bride is a graduate of Parkland High School and Duquesne University.

She is a pharmacist with CVS.

Her husband graduated from Kennedy Catholic High School and Duquesne University.

He is a doctor of physical therapy and a director for Select Medical.

The newlyweds make their home in Orefield.
