NEW CASTLE —
Megan Montgomery and Jimmy Black were married June 18, 2010, in a ceremony taking place at the home of the bride’s parents.
Parents of the couple are Jerry and Michelle Montgomery and Rick and Cindy Black.
The theme was an old-fashioned backyard wedding on the date that is now shared by three generations of Montgomerys — Michelle; her parents who married June 18, 1988; and her grandparents, Don and Nellie Montgomery, who married June 18, 1955.
Officiating was the bride’s uncle, Ross Mellott.
The bride wore a layered pink and antique rose lace dress with flower beading.
She carried white roses and lilies.
Maid of honor was Emily Freed.
The bride’s attendants were Amanda Montgomery, Desirae Montgomery, Alexis Gargaz and Jem Montgomery.
Flower girl was Macey Cwyner.
Best man was Dave Cochran.
Groomsmen were Scott Wilson, Jack Thomas, Jack Stoner and Jarred Hepler.
Musical solos were presented by Caitlyn Burns, Jenna Fabian and Robert Mellott.
The reception also took place in the Montgomery backyard in a lighted tent.

The groom is a 2008 graduate of Wilmington High School. He is studying biology at Westminster College.
The bride is a graduate of Laurel High School.
The newlyweds make their home in Edinburg.
