NEW CASTLE —
Anna Marie Kardambikis and Spero Nicholas Stefanis were married at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 1, 2013, at St. George Orthodox Church. The Rev. Photios Tomarakos officiated. It was a traditional Greek ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Spiros and Patricia Kardambikis of 293 Tanglewood Drive.
Parents of the groom are George and Irene Stefanis of 28 Bellaire Drive.
The bride wore an ivory strapless trumpet gown with a pearl and crystal embroidered bodice, natural waist accented with crystal trim, box pleats at the back of the skirt and chapel train.
Her bouquet contained pink calla lilies with white roses featuring her great-grandmother’s brooch.
Matron of honor was Christina Karmecy, the bride’s sister, of New Castle.
Bridesmaid/Greek maid of honor was Theona Stefanis-Koumbara, the groom’s sister, of New York, N.Y.
Flower girl was Markela Gentis, the bride’s cousin, of Warren, Ohio.
Ring bearer was Michael Chornick, the groom’s nephew, of Pittsburgh.
Serving as best man was James Blundo of Pittsburgh.
The reception was held at The Lake Club in Poland, Ohio.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Greece.
The bride is a graduate of Neshannock High School and Robert Morris University. She is the office manager at Hyde Drug Store.
Her husband is a graduate of Neshannock High School and Duquesne University. He is a pharmacist at Hyde Drug Store.
The newlyweds make their home at 2522 N. Jefferson St. Extension.
