NEW CASTLE —
Elissa Lee Houk and Stephen Reed Cowher were married at 5:30 p.m. July 6, 2013, in the lobby of the Scottish Rite Cathedral. Pastor Bill Hoffman officiated.
Parents of the bride are Dr. Alan and Lorree Houk of Bessemer.
Parents of the groom are Carolyn McQuiston of Enon Valley and the late Kevin Cowher.
The bride wore a Sottero and Midgley fit and flare gown with a sweetheart neckline and criss-cross, pleated bust accented with an elegant jeweled motif at the empire waist.
Her bouquet contained two dozen white roses.
Vocalist was Steve Llewellyn who was accompanied by Tim Harlan.
Matron of honor was Jordan Hall of New Castle.
Bridesmaid was Karen Druschel, the groom’s sister, of New Galilee.
Flower girl was Emme Druschel, the groom’s niece, of New Galilee.
Ring bearer was Darren Druschel, the groom’s nephew, of New Galilee.
Serving as best man was Rusty Cowher, the groom’s brother, of Cambridge, Mass.
Groomsmen were Evan Houk, the bride’s brother, of Bessemer, Randall Trosky of Enon Valley, Jonathan Braatz, the groom’s cousin, of New Castle and Tyler French of Bessemer.
The reception was held in the main ballroom of the Cathedral.
The couple spent their honeymoon on a Mediterranean cruise.
The bride is a graduate of Mohawk High School and Grove City College. She is a ballet instructor.
Her husband is a graduate of Mohawk High School and Grove City College. He is a student at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary.
The newlyweds make their home in South Hamilton, Mass.
