Stephanie A. Blaski and Timothy L. Seikel

Former New Castle resident Stephanie A. Blaski and Timothy L. Seikel were united in marriage during a Mass on Oct. 17, 2009, at St. Matthias Church in Youngstown.

Officiating at the ceremony was the Rev. Msgr. Cyril A. Adamko, the bride’s great-uncle, and the Rev. Msgr. Peter M. Polando, pastor of St. Matthias Church. Deacon Salvatore DiFrancesco also participated in the event.

The bride is a daughter of Joanne Blaski of Youngstown and the late Edward Blaski.

The groom is a son of Gerald and Patricia Seikel of Warren, Ohio.

The bride wore an ivory, Demetrios satin A-line gown with Austrian crystal and pearl enhancements. She carried gerbera daisies in autumn red, orange and yellow colors.

Matron of honor was Christine Berlin.

Bridesmaids included Sandra Seikel, Julie Lobello, Katherine Mika, goddaughter of the bride, Christine Sylvester, Marci Fischer and Jennifer Pro.

Flower girl was Sarah Petrunia, goddaughter of the groom.

Best man was David Seikel, brother of the groom.

Groomsmen duties were performed by Daniel Seikel, brother of the groom, Thomas Blaski, brother of the bride, Mark Petrunia, Dr. Robert Schaal, David Cardwell and Richard Coberly.

Ring bearer was Matthew Seikel, nephew and godson of the groom.

The couple was escorted out of the church with bagpipes played by Bobby Neilson.

The reception was held at The Georgetown in Boardman.

The couple honeymooned to St. Peter Beach, Fla.

They make their home in Perry Hall, Md.

The bride, a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School, received a bachelor of science in communication disorders from Bowling Green State University and a master of arts in speech-language pathology from Kent State University.

She lived the past 13 years in New Castle, where she was a speech pathologist at Jameson Hospital.

She now is employed at Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore as a speech-language pathologist.

Her husband is a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, Warren, Ohio. He has a degree in economics and labor relations. He is employed by Severstal Steel as an area manager in Baltimore.
