Alyson Germain Bishop and Bryan Dietrich Smith

Alyson Germain Bishop and Bryan Dietrich Smith were married at a 3 p.m. ceremony Aug. 29, 2009, at St. Winifred Church in Mt. Lebanon.

Officiating were the Rev. Kevin Dominik and the Rev. John L. O’Shea.

Parents of the bride are Brad and Christine Chill of 939 Maryland Ave. She is also the daughter of the late Michael Bishop.

The groom is a son of Al and Maureen Smith of Pittsburgh.

The bride’s dress was an Alfred Angelo ballgown design, featuring a sweetheart neckline and crystal embellishments.

Her bouquet consisted of purple orchids, white lilies, white roses and hydrangeas.

Matron of honor was Casey Vogan of Pittsburgh.

Bridesmaids were Sarah Chill, sister of the bride, of New Castle, Lisa Bishop of Atlanta, Ga., Mary Smith of Pittsburgh, Melissa DiGennaro of Cleveland, and Shannon Ferrari of Pittsburgh and Lauren Smith of Kansas City, Kan., both sisters of the groom.

The best man was Al Smith, the groom’s father.

Groomsmen were Justin Bishop, brother of the bride, of Atlanta, Brad and Tom Chill, brothers of the bride of New Castle, Evan Neel of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Scott Mullaugh and Tito Ferrari, both of Pittsburgh.

Vocalist was Jennifer Mullaugh.

Offertory gifts were presented by Matthew Bishop of New Castle and Connor Sides of Dallas, Texas.

The reception was at The Georgetown Center in Mt. Lebanon.

After their honeymoon to Cape May, N.J., and Atlantic City, the newlyweds make their home in Pittsburgh.

The bride is a graduate of New Castle High School and Robert Morris University. She is employed at Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Her husband is a graduate of South Park High School and earned his degree from Robert Morris University. He is credit manager for Kubota Corp.
