Carly Maricone and John George

Carly Maricone and John George were united in marriage at a 5 p.m. ceremony Aug. 7, 2009, at Mary, Mother of Hope Church. Officiating was the Rev. Victor J. Molka.

Parents of the bride are James and Christy Maricone of New Castle.

The groom is a son of Robert and Delores George.

The bride wore an ivory Casablanca gown. She carried a bouquet of red roses.

Maid of honor was Amber Maricone.

Matron of honor was Rita Dorsch.

Serving as bridesmaids were Erin Haben, Devan Amabile, Amy Amabile, Ashley Augustine, Ashley Allen, Rachel Galmarini, Angela Gabriel and Jessica Walters.

Best man duties were shared by Brian Pflugh and Matt Colella.

Groomsmen were Spencer Haben, Al Dorsch, Vince Ludovici, Michael Carney, Eric Monsmon, Joe Mastropietro, Kevin Finamore and Jeremy Gilson.

Flower girl was Gianna Trott.

Ring bearers were Nate Dorsch and Aiden O’Neil

Junior groomsman was Christian Amabile.

The reception took place at the Cascade Park Pavilion.

The couple honeymooned at Lake Tahoe.

The bride is a graduate of Shenango High School and Slippery Rock University. She is a school teacher.

Her husband is also a Shenango High School alumnus and a graduate of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Police Academy. He is a police officer.

The newlyweds make their home in New Castle.
