Nicole Paraskevi Pananos and Constantine “Dino” Steven Afentul Mitsos

NEW CASTLE — Nicole Paraskevi Pananos and Constantine “Dino” Steven Afentul Mitsos were married at 4 p.m. Jan. 12, 2013, at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Pittsburgh. The Rev. Anastasios Pourakis of Astoria, N.Y. and the Rev. Christopher Bender of Pittsburgh officiated at the traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony.

Parents of the bride are Peter and Janet Pananos of Grove City.

Parents of the groom are Dr. Angelo and Mary Mitsos of 15 Victoria Drive.

The bride wore a custom original gown in off-white, matte Italian silk that was heavily beaded with Swarovski crystals.

Her bouquet contained calla lilies embellished with crystals, and wrapped with iced branches and her grandmother’s brooches.

Organist was Irene Maginas.

Maids of honor were Audrey Pananos and Evie Pananos, the bride’s sisters, of Grove City.

Bridesmaids were Virginia Pourakis, the groom’s cousin, of Stewart Manor, N.Y. who served as the Koumbara or traditional sponsor in a Greek Orthodox ceremony, Christie Volpatti Barnard of Ambler, Pa., Ashley Blair Lightholder of Pittsburgh, Sarah Noone of Charlotte, N.C., Brooke O’Brien of Colorado Springs, Colo., Brittany Matevish of Fairfax, Va. and Gloria Minella of Pittsburgh.

Taso Pourakis, a child of the groom’s first cousin, of Garden City, N.Y., was ring bearer.

John Mitsos and Emmanuel Mitsos, the groom’s brothers, of New Castle, served as best men.

Groomsmen were Scott McCaskey of New Castle, John Moses of New Castle, Robert Preston IV of New Castle, Joshua Bakuhn of New Castle, Brian Chrobak of New Castle, Colby Beeson of New Castle and Joseph Patrick IV of Twinsburg, Ohio.

Cocktail hour was at the Carnegie Museum Hall of Sculpture in Pittsburgh and the reception was held at the Carnegie Music Hall Foyer.

The couple spent their honeymoon in the Turks and Caicos.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Grove City High School and 2008 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. She is a sales consultant with Dynavox-Mayer Johnson.

Her husband is a 2004 graduate of Neshannock High School and 2008 graduate of Duquesne University. He is a regional sales manager with Steelite International.

The newlyweds make their home at 812 Wilmington Ave.
