NEW CASTLE —
Thomas Richard Olacz and Carey Sue Pirkle were married at 2 p.m. Sept. 6, 2013, in Atlanta. The Rev. Tom Johnson officiated. The ceremony took place outside at a gazebo on the lake at Predmont Park.
Parents of the groom are Richard and Joan Olacz of New Castle.
Parents of the bride are Mary Rice of Douglasville, Ga., and the late Dan Rice.
The bride wore a strapless, sweetheart full gown in soft white with pearl beading.
Her bouquet contained pink roses, purple flowers and yellow lilies.
Violinist was Erik Rostad.
Maid of honor was Karson Pirkle, the bride’s daughter, of Douglasville.
Flower girl was Ava Marie Branz, the groom’s niece of Akron.
Ring bearer was Jonah Robert Branz, the groom’s nephew, of Akron.
Serving as best man was John Jakovlic of Columbus, Ohio.
Groomsmen were Chris Gray of Columbus and Austin Pirkle, the bride’s son, of Hiram, Ga.
The private reception was held in Buckhead, Ga.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic.
The groom is a graduate of Shenango High School and Kent State University. He is a consultant with Infosys Technologies Limited.
His wife graduated from Douglas County High School.
The newlyweds make their home in Atlanta.
