NEW CASTLE —
Dana Michele Wagner and Cody Carlisle were married at 4 p.m. Feb. 4, 2012, at Grace Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. The Rev. Jonathan Schaeffer and the Rev. Gregg Carrick officiated.
Parents of the bride are Dan and Rhonda Wagner of 5349 Countyline Road.
Parents of the groom are Bill and Karol Carlisle of Belton, Texas.
A sand ceremony was performed in place of a unity candle with three colors of sand poured by the bride, groom and pastor, which represented the bride, groom and Christ in marriage.
The bride wore a Maggie Sottero L’Amour satin strapless gown with pleated neckline, corset closure, body-hugging bodice and beading/embroidery at the side waist. Sweeping bustles were throughout the gathered skirt and bubble hem, and the veil was trimmed in beading.
Her bouquet contained white roses, peonies and hydrangeas adorned with rhinestones.
Miqueas Lopez was pianist and soloist, and Anna Oas was violinist.
Matron of honor was Lisa Robertson, the bride’s sister, of Hartville, Ohio.
Bridesmaids were Megan Zulauf of Sewickley and Sarah Mason of Cleveland.
Serving as best man was Bill Carlisle, the groom’s father, of Belton.
Groomsmen were Travis Smith of Columbus, Ohio, John Smith of Galloway, Ohio and J.J. Robertson, the bride’s brother-in-law, of Hartville.
The reception was at the Springvale Ballroom, North Olmsted, Ohio.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Costa Rica.
The bride is an investor relations analyst with FirstEnergy Corp.
She is a graduate of Laurel High School and Mount Union College.
Her husband is a mechanical engineer. He graduated from Temple High School and the University of Texas at Austin.
The newlyweds make their home in Lakewood, Ohio.
