NEW CASTLE —
Amanda Cherise Horton and Joseph David VanWagner were married at noon July 23, 2012, at Heinz Chapel, Pittsburgh, by the Rev. Carl Anzalone. The groom’s mother did a reading.
Parents of the bride are Jesse C. II and Alva Horton of 328 Roberts Lane.
Parents of the groom are Christine Plasic VanWagner of Dauphin, Pa. and the late Joseph David VanWagner.
The bride wore an ivory strapless beaded gown with a sweetheart neckline.
Her bouquet contained orange and ivory roses with Japanese lanterns.
Matron of honor was Meridith Flack of Georgia.
Bridesmaids were Rachel Alberico of New Castle, Becki Prosser of New Castle, Jenna Harris of Brooklyn, N.Y., Sara Kaufmann of Brooklyn and Trisha Shontz of Milford, Conn.
Junior bridesmaid was Grace Horton, the bride’s sister, of New Castle.
Serving as best man was Tim Smith of Harrisburg.
Groomsmen were Greg VanWagner, the groom’s brother, of Boulder, Colo., Ben VanWagner, the groom’s brother, of Virginia, Jim Morrissey of Pennsylvania, Luke Liben of Pittsburgh and Rob Minneo of Pittsburgh.
Their reception was at the Airport Holiday Inn.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Hawaii.
The bride is a graduate of Neshannock High School and the University of Pittsburgh. She is a senior account representative for Prometheus.
Her husband graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School and the University of Pittsburgh. He attends the University of Bridgeport and is a personal trainer and doctoral student of chiropractic medicine.
The newlyweds make their home in Milford.
