NEW CASTLE —
Asha Alexandra Gwin and Matthew David Anderson were married at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 21, 2012, during a ceremony on a back deck overlooking Darlington Lake. District Judge Jennifer Nicholson officiated.
Parents of the bride are Barry Gwin of 1115 Butler Ave. and Clara Pia of 305 W. Hillcrest Ave.
The groom’s mother is Sherry Anderson of Bellevue, Pa. His father is deceased.
During the ceremony, the bride walked out to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” by Hawaiian artist Israel Kamakawiwo’ole.
She wore a red Maggie Sottero gown with rhinestone and beading corset, sweetheart neckline and full skirt. Swarowski crystals adorned her hair.
Her bouquet contained yellow and red lilies, yellow Gerbera daisies and purple wax flowers.
Matron of honor was Katie Heaney of New Castle.
Bridesmaids were Cristen Crisci of Butler, Ashley Majors of Wampum, Jada Pappas, the bride’s cousin, of New Castle and Ashley Sternart of Enon Valley.
Serving as best man was Matt Fandozzi of New Castle.
Groomsmen were Jeremy Haynes of Louisiana, Cory Small of New Castle, Mike McCoy of New Castle and Jordan Dimeco, the bride’s cousin, of New Castle.
The reception was held at The Gathering Place at Darlington Lake.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Miami, Fla.
The bride is a graduate of Shenango High School and Slippery Rock University. She is assistant manager at Starwood Restaurant.
Her husband is a graduate of Lawrence County Career and Technical Center and attended Youngstown State University. He is operations manager for Schlumberger Energy.
The newlyweds make their home at 106 S. Scotland Lane.
