Christina Elizabeth Kardambikis, Eric Michael Karmecy

NEW CASTLE — Christina Elizabeth Kardambikis and Eric Michael Karmecy were married at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 7, 2012, in St. George Greek Orthodox Church. Father Photios Tomarakos officiated.

Parents of the bride are Spiros and Dr. Patricia Kardambikis of 293 Tanglewood Drive.

The groom is a son of John and Christine Karmecy of 3412 Fisher Drive.

The bride wore a lace and ivory Marisa gown with a hand-made belt and an antique design with stones and pearls, as well as a lace-trimmed veil.

Her bouquet was comprised of white hydrangea and eggplant mini calla lillies, wrapped in ivory satin with a crystal buckle.

Anna Kardambikis of New Castle, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Allyson Neff, the bride’s cousin, of New Castle, Marie Greene, the groom’s cousin, of Chippewa, Erika Janovick of New Castle and Rachel Karmecy, the groom’s sister, of New Castle.

Flower girls were Katherine DiMuccio, the bride’s cousin, and Sienna Karmecy, the groom’s niece, both of New Castle. Ring bearers were Tavian Karemcy, groom’s nephew, of New Castle and Michael Chornick, bride’s godson, of Pittsburgh.

Nathaniel Hoffman of Fort Myers, Fla., was the best man. Christopher Kardambikis of Los Angeles, the bride’s brother, was the Koumbaros.

Groomsmen were Dino Papazekos, the bride’s cousin, of Pittsburgh, George Papazekos, the bride’s cousin, of New Castle and John Foukas, the bride’s cousin, of New Castle.

Dr. Jane Karski was the organist.

A reception took place at The Lake Club in Poland, Ohio, followed by a honeymoon in the Bahamas.

The bride is a graduate of Neshannock High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree and a master of business administration degree at Point Park University, and a master of education degree at Slippery Rock University. She is employed as an elementary school counselor in the South Side Area School District.

The groom graduated from Neshannock High School and Grove City College. He is employed in work force development with West Central Job Partnership and as a real estate agent with Howard Hanna Real Estate.

The couple make their home at 101 Whitehill Drive.
